In vivo efficacy studies
We have established a range of in vivo models for a number of therapeutic areas.
Oncology Efficacy models:
• Hollow fiber assay: Rapid in vivo anti-cancer screening with cell lines such as HT-29, NCI H-460, NCI LoVo, MDA-MB-453, PC-3, HeLa, A549 etc.
• Xenograft studies: Human and murine tumor models such as colon, lung, brain, kidney, pancreatic, skin, leukemia etc.
• Syngenic models for efficacy studies
Anti-inflammatory animal models:
• Collagen Induced Arthritis (CIA) in rats
• LPS induced paw edema model in mice
• DSS induced inflammatory bowel disease in rats
• Immunomodulatory studies in rats or mice
Anti-infectives disease models:
• Survival model such as Systemic infection model
• Load reductions models such as thigh infection model, lung infection, Phylonephritis, Meningitis etc., are performed with appropriate pathogenic organisms
Metabolic disorders and Cardiovascular animal models:
• Diet induced cholesterol models in mice, guinea pig and hamster
• Glucose and Insulin studies in db/db mice and diabetic rat models
• Diet induced obesity models in mice
• Rabbit atherosclerosis model
Apart from the representative examples of different animal models are given here, we can establish animal models in other areas also.
