Anthem Biosciences offers comprehensive services in cloning (plasmid construction) and expression/ purification of peptides and proteins like therapeutic proteins, growth hormones, industrial enzymes and viral proteins in bacterial system. Anthem has significant expertise to target recombinant proteins to specific compartment such as cytoplasm, periplasm, membrane or secretory. Anthem proprietary protein expression platform employs a permutation of wide variety of validated promoters and signal peptide sequences. Anthem offers both small and large scale process development.

Anthem has been recently awarded SBIRI (Small Business Innovation Research Initiative) funding by Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India for developing novel production strains of bacteria.

Baculoviruses are neither replicative nor pathogenic for vertebrate cells and have a large capacity for incorporation of foreign genes. At Anthem, we routinely carry out recombinant protein production and expression in yeast and bacteria for proteins that does not require glycosylation. However to cater to need for glycosylated protein we have optimized protein production using baculoviral expression system in insect cell line.

Anthem scientists have significant experience in providing services using yeast expression systems like Pichia Pastoris and Hansenula Polymorpha. Anthem’s rich experience in bio-process optimization has been employed by several companies.
